Swedish Royal Family attends 2023 Nobel Prizes Ceremony

On Sunday, the Swedish Royal Family - without Princess Madeleine and Chris O’Neill - attended the 2023 Nobel Prizes Ceremony.

During the official ceremony, the King handed out the prizes in Physics, Chemistry, Physiology or Medicine, and Literature as well as the Sveriges Riksbank Prize in Economic Sciences in Memory of Alfred Nobel. The Queen and the Crown Princess couple were watching from the stage while Prince Carl-Philip, Princess Sofia, Princess Christina, and her husband Todd Magnusson were in the audience.

Following the ceremony, an official gala dinner took place with the Royal Family in attendance. Tomorrow evening, the King will host another gala dinner for the Nobels Laureates at the Royal Palace.

Queen Silvia wore her Georg & Arend pink embellished gown with her Jimmy Choo pumps and clutch. She paired the outfit with the Nine Prong Tiara and her usual stack of bracelets which include her Engelbert Absolutely Knot bracelet.

Crown Princess Victoria wore her Camilla Thulin one-shoulder gown with her Gianvito Rossi pumps and a repeated clutch. She paired the outfit with the Amethyst tiara as well as jewels from the Amethyst parure.

Princess Sofia wore an Andiata black tulle gown with a Bottega Veneta clutch. She wore her wedding tiara set with emeralds as well as necklaces and bracelets from Swarovski’s Mesmera collection. She also wore an LWL Jewelry custom ring. Princess Sofia’s hairdo was adorned with black flowers created by Andiata.

Princess Christina wore a black gown with an embroidered long jacket from Thalia by Göran Alfredsson and the Carl XIV Johan tiara (more commonly referred to as the 6-Button Tiara).
