Swedish Royal Family hosts gala dinner for Nobel laureates
On Monday evening, King Carl-Gustaf and Queen Silvia hosted the traditional dinner for the Nobel Laureates at the Royal Palace. Crown Princess Victoria, Prince Daniel, Prince Carl-Philip, Princess Sofia, Princess Christina, and her husband Todd Magnusson also attended.
The Royal Family first gave a small reception in Lovisa Ulrika's dining room for the 2023 Nobel Laureates and their partners.
Afterward, the Royal Family and the Laureates moved to the Ballroom. There, they greeted other guests from the Riksdag, the government, the diplomatic corps, academies, research and science, and the Nobel Foundation among others.
The official dinner was then served in Karl XI's gallery with each member of the Royal Family sitting between Nobel Laureates.
Queen Silvia wore the gown she first wore at Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia’s wedding in 2015 with her Judith Leiber clutch. She paired the outfit with the Leuchtenberg Sapphire Tiara and Parure.
Crown Princess Victoria wore a white top with her Camilla Thulin floral embroidered skirt and an Aldo clutch. She paired the outfit with the Connaught Tiara and a brooch that was previously worn by her grandmother Princess Sibylla in the 1930s (with thanks to @Jakreg76).
Princess Sofia wore a reworked version of her red silk Ida Lanto gown, first worn in 2017. She also wore her Christian Louboutin clutch. She paired the outfit with her wedding tiara and a LWL Jewelry ring.
Princess Christina wore a purple embroidered gown with the Carl XIV Johan tiara (more commonly referred to as the 6-Button Tiara).
