Swedish Royal Family hosts gala dinner for Nobel laureates
On Sunday evening, King Carl-Gustaf and Queen Silvia hosted the traditional dinner for the Nobel Laureates at the Royal Palace. Crown Princess Victoria, Prince Daniel, Prince Carl-Philip, Princess Sofia, Princess Christina, and her husband Todd Magnusson also attended.
The Royal Family first gave a small reception in Lovisa Ulrika's dining room for the 2022 Nobel Laureates and their partners. The 2020 and 2021 Laureates also attended the dinner as the traditional dinner couldn’t take place in 2020 and 2021 because of the pandemic.
Afterward, the Royal Family and the Laureates moved to the Ballroom.
There, they greeted other invited guests from the Riksdag, the government, the diplomatic corps, academies, research and science, and the Nobel Foundation among others.
The official dinner was then served in Karl XI's gallery with each member of the Royal Family sitting between Nobel Laureates.
Queen Silvia wore a repeated gown with her Judith Leiber clutch and Queen Sophia’s Nine Prong Tiara.
Crown Princess Victoria wore her Elie Saab green sequin gown with her Gianvito Rossi pumps and a new clutch. She wore the Laurel Wreath Tiara.
Princess Sofia wore a Lilli Jahilo necklace with her Charlotte Olympia pumps and a Bottega Veneta clutch. She also wore Bigli Jewels earrings and her LWL Jewelry bracelet. She wore her Wedding Palmette Tiara in the pearl setting.
