Belgian State Visit to Germany - Day 2

On Wednesday, King Philippe and Queen Mathilde spent their second day in Germany, attending several events in Berlin. They first met with Belgian and German business leaders and specialists in the field of renewable energies and decarbonization.

Afterward, King Philippe and Queen Mathilde attended the plenary session of the High-Level Economic Forum dedicated to Belgian-German partnerships in the energy and green economy sectors.

The Royal Couple also visited the German Aerospace Center to highlight Belgian-German collaboration in the space field.

King Philippe and Queen Mathilde were then joined by the German Presidential Couple at 50Hertz, a subsidiary of the Elia Group. They learned more about Elia Group’s project to build the first artificial energy island in the world: Princess Elisabeth Island in the North Sea. They also discovered the “electric artery” of Berlin.

They also visited S27, a multidisciplinary center that works to integrate young people into German society.

In the evening, King Philippe and Queen Mathilde hosted a concert in honor of President Steinmeier and his wife to thank Germany for its hospitality.

Queen Mathilde first wore a Natan Couture x Alicia Audrey cape with her Natan dress, Natan pumps, and her Giorgio Armani bag. She paired the outfit with her Leysen earrings and her Rolex watch. Later in the day, she changed into Tod’s loafers.

In the evening, Queen Mathilde wore her Natan gown.
