Spanish State Visit to Angola - Day 2
On Tuesday, King Felipe and Queen Letizia officially started their state visit to Angola. They first visited the Agostinho Neto Memorial where they laid a wreath and observed a minute's silence.
Afterward, the Royal Couple was officially welcomed by the Presidential Couple at the Presidential Palace.
King Felipe then held a meeting with the President while Queen Letizia and the First Lady held a meeting with women leaders from Angolan civil society to discuss education as a factor of empowerment.
The Royal Couple and the Presidential Couple then attended the signing of the Memoranda of Understanding on sports, industry 4.0 and diplomatic schools.
In the afternoon, King Felipe and Queen Letizia visited the Economic Bank where they attended the presentation of the International University of Cuanza, which was inaugurated in Cuito in 2021. The International University is a Spanish-Angolan cooperation project, with a pan-Iberian vocation, which aims to offer students a comprehensive education based on excellence and commited to people.
Afterward, King Felipe and Queen Letizia hosted a reception for the Spanish Community living in Angola.
Queen Letizia first wore her José Hildago dress with her Prada pumps and her Carolina Herrera bag. She paired her outfit with new earrings and her Coreterno ring.
In the evening, Queen Letizia wore a Carolina Herrera dress (with thanks to Nuria) with her Carolina Herrera pumps and her Carolina Herrera clutch. She also wore her Coreterno ring.
