Afterward, Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel were officially welcomed by representatives from the local indigenous population – the Ngunnawal – with a traditional smocking ceremony outside the National Museum of Australia.

After the ceremony, Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel visited the museum’s Great Southern Land exhibition.

The Crown Princess Couple then visited Namadgi National Park to learn about the effects of the 2020 bushfires which ravaged approximately 80% of the national park

In her speech, Crown Princess Victoria said: “Let me start by acknowledging the Ngunnaval people, the traditional custodians of the land on which we meet today. I would like to pay my respect to their elders – past, present, and emerging. For me, this is a long-awaited reunion. I remember with fondness the last time I was in Australia. However, when I realised it was as far back as in 2005, I almost couldn’t believe it! Time certainly flies… To be able to come back with my husband is truly special. On the other side of the globe, in a wintry Stockholm, I know that our two children are eagerly awaiting news on – among other fascinating things – Australian koalas and kangaroos.”

Crown Princess Victoria first wore a repeated blazer with a new Toteme dress (with thanks to RoyalFashionPolice), her Gianvito Rossi pumps, and her Miu Miu clutch. She paired the outfit with new Skultuna jewels, her Epoch watch, her Engelbert necklace, and her usual stack of bracelets.

Crown Princess Victoria then wore an Andiata blouse with trousers, an Eduards Accessories belt, her Adidas sneakers, and an Eduards Accessories bag. She also wore her Engelbert necklace, her Epoch watch, and her stack of bracelets.
