Belgian State Visit to South Africa - Day 1

On Thursday, King Philippe and Queen Mathilde started their four-day visit to South Africa in Pretoria.

They first attended meetings with President Ramaphosa at Union Buildings.

Afterward, King Philippe and Queen Mathilde visited Freedom Park, a memorial erected in honor of those who lost their lives for freedom, where King Philippe laid a wreath.

Queen Mathilde also visited the University of Pretoria where she met with academics and entrepreneurs to discuss the role that universities can play in promoting social entrepreneurship as a vehicle for change.

In the evening, King Phillipe and Queen Mathilde attended a State Dinner hosted by President Ramaphosa.

Queen Mathilde first wore a Natan dress with her Natan pumps, a Fabienne Delvigne hat, and her Percossi Papi earrings.

In the evening, Queen Mathilde wore her Natan Couture gown.
