Crown Princess Mary visits Vanuatu - Day 1

On Sunday, Crown Princess Mary started a two-day visit to Vanuatu with the Danish Minister for Development Cooperation and Global Climate Policy Dan Jørgensen to learn more about the consequences of climate change in the Pacific Ocean region. She will also visit Fiji and Sydney later this week.

Crown Princess Mary first met with Vanuatu’s minister of climate change adaptation H.E. Ralph Regenvanu.

Afterward, Crown Princess Mary visited Pele Island which has been hit by the two cyclones and two earthquakes that have recently struck Vanuatu.  She met the local community to learn more about the projects for preventing climate change and developing sustainable energy sources they started in collaboration with the UN’s Development Programme (UNDP) and the Global Environment Facility (GEF).

Crown Princess Mary wore a white shirt, a printed skirt, Prada sandals, and Chloé bag. She paired the outfit with MaRe Gold earrings, her Halberstadt and Julie Sandlau necklaces, a Dulong ring, and bracelets by Dulong and Ole Lynggaard. She also wore her Thierry Lasry sunglasses.
