Queen Mathilde receives honorary doctorate from the University of Hasselt
On Tuesday, Queen Mathilde received an honorary doctorate from the University of Hasselt for her social commitment and her actions in favor of the mental well-being of young people and quality education for all.
In her speech, Queen Mathilde said: “I am grateful to the University of Hasselt for awarding me this honorary doctorate, which I dedicate to all vulnerable people who have to struggle daily to lead a dignified existence – or even simply to survive. I hope my plea for a welcoming society will continue to be heard. Above all, I hope that the young generations who are being trained, among others at this university, will invest in the future for a sustainable, but ever more human world.”
Queen Mathilde wore a printed dress with red pumps, a Fabienne Delvigne clutch, Percossi Papi earrings, and her Rolex watch.
