Crown Princess Mary packs backpacks for children in shelters
On Monday, Crown Princess Mary joined former Lego employees to pack backpacks for children in shelters with the Mary Fonden, the Ole Kirk's Foundation, and the National Organization of Women's Crisis Centers.
Since 2008, backpacks are distributed to children living with their mothers in crisis centers in Denmark, the Faroe Islands, and Greenland. In the backpacks, there are, among other things, clothes, books, and toys.
Crown Princess Mary said: “I am always touched and happy that so many good people will help support this project. And in that way help give the many children who come to the shelter with their mother a helping hand. The backpacks are not a solution in themselves, but they can be a bright spot in an otherwise difficult time, and with the backpacks we show the children that we see them and think of them.”
Crown Princess Mary wore her Polo Ralph Lauren shirt with Closed trousers, her Hugo Boss belt, and Hermes loafers (with thanks to RoyalFashionPolice). She paired the outfit with her Gucci glasses, her Dulong earrings, and necklaces by Julie Sandlau and Halberstadt. She also wore her Ole Lynggaard rings and bracelet by MaRe Gold, Dulong, and Rebekka Notkin. Crown Princess Mary also debuted a MaRe Gold necklace (with thanks to RoyalFashionPolice).
