King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia visit Dalarna County
On Thursday, King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia visited Dalarna County as part of King Carl-Gustaf’s Jubilee celebrations.
They first unveiled a new bench in Älvdalskvartsit with a commemorative plaque commemorating the Jubilee at the top of the ski slopes at Lugnet.
Afterward, King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia visited the Dalarna museum where they visited the exhibition “Carl XVI Gustaf – 50 years for Sweden” and saw various objects from the museum.
The Royal Couple then attended an official lunch hosted by the Governor at his residence.
King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia then traveled in a horse-drawn cortege along Åsgatan, Nybrogatan, Ölandsgatan, Östra hamngatan, and Falugatan.
At Stora Torget, the Royal Couple took part in a jubilee event with performances by Gustaf and Victor Norén.
In his speech, King Carl Gustaf said: “In recent years, several large companies have established themselves here in the county and others are underway. And as the green transition continues, the forest becomes increasingly important. The key is to find the right balance between production and conservation. All of you who live in one of Sweden's forest counties know that. Yes, it's the balance it depends on. The balance between nurturing traditions and allowing them to be complemented by new ones. The balance between, on the one hand, remembering and learning from history, on the other hand, looking forward and seeking solutions to the problems of our time.”
Queen Silvia wore a repeated suit with repeated pumps, her Hermes bag, her Hermes scarf, and her Cartier bracelet.
