New official portrait of King Felipe and Queen Letizia released

On Tuesday, a new official portrait of King Felipe and Queen Letizia was released by the Bank of Spain. The photos were taken by Annie Leibovitz in February and were commissioned by the Bank of Spain. They will be shown at the Bank of Spain as part of the “La tiranía de Cronos" exhibition.

Queen Letizia wore a vintage Balenciaga gown with a Balenciaga cape that were loaned to her by the Antoni de Montpalau foundation. The cape was made by Cristobal Balenciaga in 1962 for the Marchioness of Robert and Countess of Torroella de Montgrí to be worn at the wedding of King Juan Carlos and Queen Sofia (with thanks to Vanitatis.)
