On Thursday, Princess Astrid spent her fifth day in Brazil where she is undertaking an economic mission with a Belgian delegation. In Rio de Janeiro, Princess Astrid first attended a conference on the role of ports and the importance of partnerships with industries & policy makers in enabling the energy transition.

Afterward, Princess Astrid attended a seminar on entrepreneurship and human rights, focusing on how to tackle social inequalities and fight for social inclusion in the business field.

Princess Astrid then took part in a networking lunch on the theme of the Amazon and valorisation of Brazilian local products before visiting the Botanical Garden of Rio de Janeiro where she toured the Arboretum.
