King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia visit Brazil
This week, King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia attended official events in Brazil following a private stay in the country.
On Monday, King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia first visited the Adriana Missae Momma Early Childhood Education Center with Childhood Brazil. The preschool is part of the Espaço do Amanhã program, which aims to create safe and inspiring environments for children to grow and develop in.
Afterward, King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia attended a ceremony where a letter of intent was signed for the opening of the first Childhood House in Brazil.
On Tuesday, King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia were in São Manuel. During the visit, Queen Silvia saw the city's historic Railway Station which has been named after her mother Alice Soares de Toledo Sommerlath in October.
The Royal Couple also visited the Igreja Matriz, an important religious and architectural landmark, and the Historical and Pedagogical Museum "Pe. Manoel da Nóbrega", where they saw historical photographs of Queen Silvia’s great-grandfather. They also passed by the house where her grandfather Arthur Toledo lived.
On Wednesday, King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia attended a gala dinner celebrating the 25th anniversary of the World Childhood Foundation which was founded by Queen Silvia. In her speech, she said: "I sincerely thank all the counselors of Childhood Brasil for dedicating their time, resources, and ideas to the cause. Together, we have built a solid and effective support network. We need to keep this flame burning, remembering that every gesture of support, every initiative, and every voice raised makes a difference.”
On Monday, Queen Silvia wore her Armani Collezioni cream suit with repeated shoes and bag. She also wore her Cartier and Engelbert bracelets.
On Tuesday, Queen Silvia wore a Georg et Arend dress with her Chanel flats. She also wore her Cartier and Engelbert bracelets.
On Wednesday, Queen Silvia wore her Thalia blue lace gown with her Judith Leiber clutch, as well as her Cartier and Engelbert bracelets.
