Queen Mathilde attends Women, Peace and Security program seminar
On Thursday, Queen Mathilde attended a seminar on the Women, Peace and Security program organized by the Belgian Presidency of the European Union.
In her speech, Queen Mathilde said: “Women, peace, and security are closely linked concepts. This is to ensure the safety of women, as they are the most vulnerable in the event of conflict or unrest. It is also about recognizing their crucial role in creating and preserving the stability of communities. Women indeed demonstrate resilience, build bridges, and are capable of finding solutions. In a society that is seeking peace and reconciliation agreements in a post-conflict reconstruction process, they can play a key role as people of trust.”
Queen Mathilde wore her Natan x Alicia Audrey cape with a Dries Van Noten dress (with thanks to RoyalFashionPolice) and her Aranaz clutch. She also wore Christine Bekaert earrings (with thanks to GardeRobeRoyale) with her Christine Bekaert cuff and her Rolex watch.
