Queen Mary attends inauguration of the southern part of Jægersborg Hegn

On Sunday, Queen Mary attended the inauguration of the southern part of Jægersborg Hegn into Dyrehaven as an untouched forest.

In her speech, Queen Mary said: “With today's expansion of Jægersborg Hegn, we are taking care of nature. Starting today, Dyrehaven will be a quarter bigger for the joy of all of us who love to come here, and for all the life that belongs here. Among other things, the 116 endangered species that live in these beautiful surroundings, which constitute a true biodiversity hotspot. We can only be happy that there is also space for rides, hermitage races, and hubertus hunting. As long as we remember that we are guests in the garden, while animals and plants have a home here.”

Queen Mary wore her Seeland jacket with her Ralph Lauren jumper, Härkila trousers, and her Penelope Chilvers boots. The brooch on her hat was created by Ragnar R. Jørgensen.
