King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia attend events in Öland
On Wednesday, King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia attended events in Öland. They first visited Queen Victoria's Rest Home in Borgholm to mark its 100th anniversary. King Carl Gustaf planted a Victoria plum tree during the visit.
Afterward, King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia officially opened this year's outdoor exhibitions in Solliden Castle’s park. Works by visual artist Yrjö Edelmann, who lived in Öland for many years, are displayed in the park’s stone section while the exhibition Fuchsia Stories, which consists of installations and sound works focusing on royal stories, is shown in the English park.
Queen Silvia wore a fuchsia coat with purple trousers, Rieker trainers, and her Louis Vuitton bag. She also wore her usual Cartier and Engelbert bracelets.
