King Frederik and Queen Mary's Summer Tour - Day 1
On Monday, King Frederik and Queen Mary started their four-day summer tour of Denmark with the Royal Ship Dannebrog. They first visited Bornholm.
The Royal Couple was officially welcomed at Rønne Harbour before attending an official reception at Rønne Theater. They also visited Bornholm's Center for Crafts where they toured Grønbechs Gård, an exhibition place for Bornholm handicrafts made of ceramics, glass, textiles, wood, and metal.
Afterward, King Frederik and Queen Mary took part in a hike through Ekkodalen to Hareløkkerne. At Hareløkkerne, they learned about the company Food Bornholm, which produces leguminous products, before having lunch.
King Frederik and Queen Mary then visited Østerlars Church, the largest and oldest of Bornholm's four round churches, as well as the Old Power Plant to learn more about the "Energiø Bornholm" project, which aims to develop Bornholm into Europe's leading hub for testing and implementing energy technologies and energy systems.
In the evening, King Frederik and Queen Mary hosted a reception on the Dannebrog.
Queen Mary first wore a Weill jacket with her Paul & Joe top, navy trousers, and her Jimmy Choo pumps. She paired the outfit with her Jane Taylor hat, her Sophie Bille Brahe earrings, her Halberstadt and Dulong Fine Jewelry necklaces, her Dulong Fine Jewelry bracelets, and her Rebekka Notkin ring.
