They first were officially welcomed at Østerby Harbour before visiting Læsø Saltworks where they heard about how salt production on Læsø can be traced back to the Middle Ages.

The Royal Couple also undertook a nature safari at Denmark's second largest marsh area and mudflat, Rønnerne. They then visited the Læsø Museum Farm, an open-air museum.

Afterward, King Frederik and Queen Mary hosted an Afternoon Tea for guests on the Royal Ship Dannebrog.

Queen Mary first wore a repeated jacket with her Vanessa Bruno blouse and her By Malene Birger skirt. She paired the outfit with her Prada flats, her Ray-Ban sunglasses, and her Canopy Bay by Deborah Hutton hat. She also wore her Dulong Fine Jewelry earrings, her Louise Grønlykke necklace, her Dulong Fine Jewelry and Rebekka Notkin bracelets, and her Cartier watch. For the hike, she changed into her Nike sneakers and wore her Scandinavian Edition rain coat.

In the afternoon, Queen Mary wore her Vilshenko dress with her Louise Grønlykke necklace, her Sophie Bille Brahe earrings, and her Rebekka Notkin bracelets.
