King Frederik and Queen Mary's Summer Tour - Day 3
On Wednesday, King Frederik and Queen Mary spent the third day of their summer tour in Assens. After arriving at Assens Harbor on the Royal Ship Dannebrog, King Frederik and Queen Mary took a carriage ride to Assens’s Town Hall where an official reception was held.
Afterward, King Frederik and Queen Mary visited the Peter Willemoes School which is a certified Unicef Rights School. The Royal Couple met pupils from the Rights Council who told them about the school’s work to ensure the rights of children and young people are felt in their everyday life.
King Frederik and Queen Mary then visited Lundager Forest to learn more about the municipality’s afforestation project. The Royal Couple then had lunch at the Forest Pavilion.
King Frederik and Queen Mary also visited Assens Forsyning- Forsyningparken where they learned about Assens Forsyning's new high-tech, climate-friendly and environmentally and energy-efficient sewage treatment plant. They also visited WaterCare, Denmark's leading company within products that clean waste water and rainwater. The company also has a special focus on social responsibility.
King Frederik and Queen Mary then received a guided walk through the city to hear more about its history and the transformation the city is currently undergoing.
In the evening, King Frederik and Queen Mary held a reception on the Royal Ship Dannebrog.
Queen Mary first wore her Ralph Lauren jacket with an Etro belt and a Zimmermann dress. She paired the outfit with her Gianvito Rossi pumps, her Max Mara bag, and a Susanne Juul headpiece. In the afternoon, Queen Mary wore an Harris Wharf London trench coat and changed into her Prada ballet flats. She also wore her Dulong Fine Jewelry and Halberstadt necklaces as well as her Dulong Fine Jewelry bracelets.
In the evening, Queen Mary wore her Jesper Høvring blouse with a green skirt.
