Queen Maxima attends engagements in Zaanstad and Amsterdam

On Wednesday, Queen Maxima attended engagements in Zaanstad and Amsterdam. She first visited Zaanstad to learn more about the "Zaandam-Oost Pact 2024-2044." The initiative aims to improve development opportunities, particularly for young people. Queen Maxima met with professionals at a community center about the issues they encounter in their neighborhoods and how these are being addressed jointly within the Pact.

Afterward, Queen Maxima attended the official opening of the exhibition "Heroes – Eradicating Childhood Cancer" in Amsterdam. The exhibition is organized by the Princess Máxima Center in conjunction with the International Society of Pediatric Oncology conference. Children from the Netherlands, Suriname, Kenya, Indonesia, and Armenia drew their personal heroes, and these were then developed by professional illustrators into colorful film posters that form the heart of the exhibition.

Queen Maxima wore her Oscar de la Renta dress with her Gianvito Rossi boots and her Mercedes Robirosa earrings.
