Swedish State Visit to Canada - Day 2
On Wednesday, King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia spent their second day in Canada.
While King Carl Gustaf attended the Sweden-Canada Innovation Days, Queen Silvia visited the Nunavut Sivuniksavut College, a school that offers programs to empower Inuit youth through academic education, cultural connection, and personal development.
King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia also attended a meeting at the Swedish Ambassador’s residence with Swedish people living in Canada.

In the evening, King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia hosted a return reception at the Fairmont Château Laurier hotel. In his speech, King Carl Gustaf said: “After two days filled with impressions, this state visit has shown how much Canada and Sweden have in common. It has also made clear what we can learn from one another, and the great things we can achieve together by building even stronger ties.”
Queen Silvia first wore a Weill suit with her Vesna W blouse.
In the evening, Queen Silvia wore a Thalia gown with her Romero Britto clutch. She paired the outfit with her Beauty Gems necklace and her Cartier bracelet.
