Queen Silvia receives Bavarian State Medal for Social Merit
On Wednesday, Queen Silvia received the Bavarian State Medal for Social Merit in Munich, Germany. The Bavarian State Medal for Social Merit has been awarded since 1970 to individuals who have rendered outstanding service to the State of Bavaria and its citizens in the social sphere.
Queen Silvia was honored for her work with the World Childhood Foundation which she created in 1999 to protect children from sexual violence and exploitation.
Queen Silvia wore her Georg et Arend suit with a purple blouse and Brunate pumps.
