Queen Letizia marks FundéuRAE's 20th anniversary
On Wednesday, Queen Letizia marked the 20th anniversary of FundéuRAE at the Royal Spanish Academy in Madrid. The foundation is a leading resource for Spanish-speaking journalists and, more generally, for language professionals in the media to encourage the proper use of Spanish.
In her speech, Queen Letizia said: “A love for a subject—words—that is both resilient and delicate, almost infinite, yet it is what helps us express ourselves and understand the world around us. A subject that, incidentally, becomes denser, richer, and more useful the more one reads, especially books. You know a great deal about style guides, as we've seen, but you also, and above all, know how to urgently help media writers and the general public to make better use of language. And here we are 20 years later, and Fundéu RAE continues to refine and hone those tools—words—to help us make reality more accessible.”
Queen Letizia wore her COS coat with her Cortana dress. She paired the outfit with her Magrit boots and her Carolina Herrera bag. She also wore her Gold & Roses earrings and her Coreterno ring.
