King Felipe receives honorary doctorate from the University of Alcalá
On Thursday, King Felipe received an honorary doctorate from the University of Alcalá in recognition of his close ties to the institution and his commitment to human rights, culture and research. Queen Letizia attended the ceremony.
In his speech, King Felipe said: “It is moving to see that through these walls erected five centuries ago, where Antonio de Nebrija, Fernando de Mena and Francisco Suárez taught and Ignatius of Loyola, Lope de Vega and Gaspar Melchor de Jovellanos studied, the best that we can offer the world as a society continues to flow: our future.”
Queen Letizia wore her Carolina Herrera cape with a The 2nd Skin Co dress (with thanks to Nuria). She paired the outfit with her Magrit pumps and her Magrit clutch. She also wore her Aldao Joyeros earrings and her Coreterno ring.
