Belgian State Visit to Chile - Day 3
On Thursday, King Philippe and Queen Mathilde spent their third day in Chile. They visited the Planta Química Carmen factory of the company Sociedad Química y Minera de Chile (SQM), the world's largest lithium refinery.
The company invests heavily in Belgium and has entrusted the construction of the largest modular warehouse in Latin America to the Belgian company Veldeman, which was filled with 80,000 tons of sodium ash.
King Philippe and Queen Mathilde then concluded their state visit with an official ceremony at the airport. Due to technical problems with their plane, they weren’t able to depart Chile on Thursday evening as planned and will only depart on Friday.
Queen Mathilde wore her Natan Couture coat and dress with her Fabienne Delvigne clutch. She paired the outfit with her Gucci sunglasses and her Rolex watch.
