Swedish and Danish Royal Couples mark Öresund Bridge's 25th anniversary
On Tuesday, King Carl Gustaf, Queen Silvia, King Frederik, and Queen Mary celebrated Öresund Bridge's 25th anniversary. The bridge goes across the Øresund Strait between Denmark and Sweden.
The Royal Couples first visited the Swedish side of the Bridge where they unveiled two binoculars, aimed at the Danish coast.
Afterward, King Carl Gustaf, Queen Silvia, King Frederik, and Queen Mary traveled across the bridge to Pepparholm in Öresund where they heard more about the development of the island's flora and fauna since its inauguration 25 years ago. They then attended a reception on Amager, on the Danish side of the bridge, where they unveiled two additional binoculars pointed towards Sweden.
King Frederik and Queen Mary then hosted a private lunch for King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia at Amalienborg in Copenhagen.
