King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia mark Hanaholmen's 50th anniversary

On Monday, King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia were in Finland to mark Hanaholmen's 50th anniversary. They were first officially welcomed by the Finnish Presidential Couple at the Presidential Palace where an official lunch was hosted.

Afterward, the Presidential Couple and the Royal Couple visited Hanaholmen, a cooperation and cultural centre for Sweden and Finland, to attend the official 50th anniversary event. In his speech, King Carl Gustaf said: “In the five decades since its inauguration, Hanaholmen has been a place where ideas have been born, bridges built and friendships deepened. Finnish-Swedish cooperation has deep roots, but also a clear direction forward. Hanaholmen shows that when we listen, learn and trust each other, we can together face the great challenges of our time with both strength and hope.”

Queen Silvia wore a black pantsuit with her Vesna W white blouse, her Rieker trainers, and her Chanel bag.
