Queen Letizia attends "Women, Sport, and Society" symposium

On Wednesday, Queen Letizia attended the “Women, Sport, and Society" symposium held on the occasion of the second edition of the charity basketball tournament organized by the CHALLENGE 40 BASKET team, to raise awareness about female genital mutilation and other abuses against women.

Queen Letizia attended a roundtable discussion on the challenges faced by female athletes throughout their careers as well as an interview on female genital mutilation and forced marriages with Asha Ismail, founder of the NGO "Save a Girl Save a Generation”. After the symposium, she met with participants, including women survivors served by the NGO "Save a Girl Save a Generation".

Queen Letizia wore an Antik Batik embroidered dress with Calzados Picon wedges and her Carolina Herrera bag. She paired the outfit with her Nydia hoop earrings and her Coreterno ring.
