The Duchess of Edinburgh visits Alberta - Day 2

On Friday, the Duchess of Edinburgh spent her second day in Calgary as Patron of Spruce Meadows. She first toured the facilities and attended a fundraising luncheon.

Afterward, the Duchess of Edinburgh greeted military representatives from both Canada and the United Kingdom, along with members of the Southern family, who founded Spruce Meadows and its charitable arm, the Spruce Meadows Leg Up Foundation (LUF).

The Duchess of Edinburgh also visited the Equi-Plex Shopping and Spirits Marketplace and the Youth Centres of Calgary.

In the evening, the Duchess of Edinburgh attended the ATCO Six Bar competition as part of the Spruce Meadows master. She had the opportunity to congratulate British rider Joseph Stockdale who, along with Czechia’s Vaclav Stanek, broke a 21-year-record after reaching a jump height of 2.13m.

The Duchess of Edinburgh first wore her Gabriela Hearst dress with her Penelope Chilvers wedges and her Sophie Habsburg clutch. She paired the outfit with her Adore Jewels earrings and her Stella McCartney sunglasses.

In the evening, the Duchess of Edinburgh wore an Erdem printed dress with her Penelope Chilvers wedges and her Sophie Habsburg clutch. She also wore her Giulia Barela hoop earrings.
