On Tuesday, Queen Letizia hosted several audiences at Zarzuela Palace. She first met with representatives of the management team and designers participating in the 83rd edition of Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Madrid.

Afterward, Queen Letizia met with representatives from the Nursing Development Foundation to hear more about their initiatives that promote and enhance the value of the profession in society.

Queen Letizia then met with the managing director of the Sant Joan de Déu Hospital, Manel del Castillo, and the president of the Spanish Federation of Rare Diseases, Juan Carrión Tudela, to learn more about the Únicas Project. The initiative aims to provide comprehensive care for rare diseases in the pediatric population, ensuring that the 600,000 children living in Spain with a rare condition receive a rapid, accurate, and personalized diagnosis.
