The Duchess of Edinburgh visits Kenya - Day 2
On Wednesday, the Duchess of Edinburgh spent her second day in Kenya.
She first visited the Kazuri Beads workshops to hear more about how they provide employment opportunities for women in marginalized communities.
She then met with Sudanese Women Peacebuilders to learn more about the role of women in building peace and supporting victims of conflict-related sexual violence.
The Duchess of Edinburgh then met with the President of Kenya, William Ruto, at the State House in Nairobi.
Afterward, the Duchess of Edinburgh visited Pallet Café where she took part in a luncheon with Kenyan women business leaders and entrepreneurs. She also visited several workshops and stalls run by women entrepreneurs.
In the evening, the Duchess of Edinburgh attended a Women in Leadership reception held at the Residence of the British High Commissioner.
The Duchess of Edinburgh first wore her Suzannah dress with her Jimmy Choo pumps and her Sophie Habsburg clutch. She paired the outfit with her Giulia Barela earrings, her Giulia Barela ring, and her Asprey London bracelet. During her visit to Kazuri Beads, she purchased earrings from Mara Moon, which she then wore for the remainder of her engagements.
In the evening, the Duchess of Edinburgh wore her Beulah London dress with her Penelope Chilvers wedges. She also wore her Giulia Barela ring and her Asprey London bracelet.
