The Duke and Duchess of Sussex visit Jordan - Day 1
On Wednesday, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex started a two-day visit to Jordan with the World Health Organization.
They first attended a high-level roundtable hosted by Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Director-General of WHO, alongside UN leaders, donors, and humanitarian organisations at the WHO offices in Amman. The meeting focused on Jordan’s leadership in the regional health response.
Afterward, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex visited the Za’atari Refugee Camp where they spent time at the Questscope Youth Centre. They met with Syrian refugees participating in music, photography, sport, and art therapy programmes.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex also visited The Specialty Hospital where they met with Palestinian children and families who have been medically evacuated to Jordan. They also met with doctors and caregivers to hear about the challenges of responding to trauma and complex injuries, while continuing to serve local communities.
