Princess Catharina-Amalia attends engagements in Amsterdam
This week, Princess Catharina-Amalia attended engagements over two days in Amsterdam to familiarize herself with various sectors and be briefed on current topics.
On Thursday, Princess Catharina-Amalia first met with the Mayor of Amsterdam, Femke Halsema, before visiting the Science Park to learn more about the field of digital innovation and AI and the technological challenges of today and the future. She also visited the AMOLF labs, where she heard about research into solar cells and the development of sustainable solar energy.
Afterward, Princess Catharina-Amalia visited that offers young people sporting and social activities to provide them with more perspective and develop leadership qualities.
She also visited the Amsterdam Nieuw-West neighbourhood to see a recently completed buildings where various organizations have collaborated on a mix of social housing, mid-market rentals, and private sector homes. She also visited social organization that helps women in vulnerable situations participate in society again.
On Friday, Princess Catharina-Amalia first attended a lunch in the Zuidas, joined by young lawyers, bankers, and consultants, before touring the Warmoes Biennial. She also visited a community center to hear about changes in the neighbourhood and learned more about an initiative to support young people who spend a lot of time on the streets and are at risk of becoming involved in crime.
On both evenings, Princess Catharina-Amalia learned about diverse aspects of Amsterdam’s nightlife. On Thursday, she visited two nightlife venues in the city center to hear more about Amsterdam's nightlife and the renewed focus on the city center as an entertainment area. On Friday, Princess Catharina-Amalia visited the Amsterdam police where she joined dispatchers at the control room before joining police officers on patrol.
On Thursday, Princess Catharina-Amalia wore her Mango suit with her Hermes clutch. She paired the outfit with Franky Amsterdam earrings (with thanks to ModeKoninginMaxima) and Ray-Ban sunglasses.
On Friday, Princess Catharina-Amalia wore a Max Mara bodysuit (with thanks to ModeKoninginMaxima) with navy trousers, black boots, and a Zara clutch.
On Friday evening, Princess Catharina-Amalia wore her Toteme blazer with a white top, jeans, and Zara loafers. She later changed into her Adidas sneakers.
