Queen Maxima visits Washington D.C. as UNSGSA

This week, Queen Maxima visited Washington, D.C. to attend the Spring Meeting of the IMF and the World Bank Group in her role as the UN Secretary-General Special Advocate for Financial Health (UNSGSA).

On Thursday, Queen Maxima took part in the 'Managing Risks in an age of Uncertainty: Insurance, Resilience & Development' fireside chat to discuss the importance of insurance products that protect people against risks and contribute to their economic growth and financial health.

She also took part in a fireside chat at the Inter-American Development Bank to address opportunities and challenges for financial health in Latin America and the Caribbean.

On Friday, Queen Maxima first took part in the 'G20 Fireside Chat on Global Financial Literacy' event to discuss the theme of financial health for the G20 agenda.

Queen Maxima also attended a working meeting with the US Secretary of the Treasury Scott Bessent.

She then took part in several bilateral meetings with the President of the European Central Bank, Christine Lagarde, and the governors of the central banks of the Philippines, Ghana, India, Thailand, the United Kingdom, and the West African States (BCEAO).

On Saturday, Queen Maxima hosted a Reference Group meeting. This is an advisory group of international development organizations with which she has collaborated as UNSGSA since 2009. She also met with the Director-General of the IMF, Kristalina Georgieva.

On Thursday, Queen Maxima wore a Natan outfit with her Gianvito Rossi pumps. She paired the outfit with her Luz Camino earrings and her Patek Philippe watch.

On Friday, Queen Maxima wore her Claes Iversen top and trousers with her Gianvito Rossi pumps.

On Saturday, Queen Maxima wore her Natan Couture red outfit with her Gianvito Rossi pumps.
