King Carl Gustaf's involvement in the Scout movement honored by the World Scout Foundation
This week, King Carl Gustaf's involvement in the Scout movement was honored by the World Scout Foundation as he announced on his 80th birthday that he would step down from his role as honorary chairman of the Foundation.
On Wednesday, King Carl Gustaf chaired the World Scout Foundation's board meeting at the Royal Palace for the last time as Honorary Chairman. During the meeting, he handed over the honorary presidency to Grand Duke Guillaume. King Carl Gustaf was also awarded the title of honorary founder of the foundation.
Following the board meeting, Grand Duke Guillaume met with Crown Princess Victoria at the Royal Palace.

On Friday, King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia attended a seminar at the Filadelfia Church in Stockholm about peace and inclusion, arranged by the Scouts and the World Scout Foundation at the King's initiative.
On Saturday, King Carl Gustaf and Prince Alexander took part in Scout Day in Haga Park.
In the evening, King Carl Gustaf, Queen Silvia, and Grand Duke Guillaume attended a gala dinner in honor of King Carl Gustaf at Stockholm’s City Hall. During the evening, King Carl Gustaf received the Golden Wolf from the British and Swedish Scout movements. In his speech, King Carl Gustaf said: “Well, as we say, 'Once a Scout, always a Scout.' What started as a love for Scouting when I was a young boy, did not fade – it escalated. Somewhere along the way it turned into a life-long commitment to helping young people develop confidence, leadership and essential life skills.”
On Wednesday, Crown Princess Victoria wore her Andiata suit with her Gianvito Rossi pumps and her Elie Saab clutch. She also wore repeated earrings as well as her Engelbert Stockholm and Skultuna necklaces.
On Friday, Queen Silvia wore her Zara jacket with a white blouse, black trousers, her Chanel flats, and her Mulberry bag. She also wore several bracelets including her Cartier and Engelbert Stockholm bracelets.
On Saturday evening, Queen Silvia wore her Georg et Arend green sequin outfit.
