Queen Maxima attends engagements in Leiden and Amsterdam
On Tuesday, Queen Maxima attended engagements in Leiden and Amsterdam. She first visited the Royal Institute of Language, Land and Ethnology (KITLV) in Leiden to mark its 175th anniversary. Queen Maxima is Patron of the research institute which focuses on the study of societal challenges, with a focus on colonial history and its impact on the present, in the Caribbean, Southeast Asia, and 'international Netherlands'.
Afterward, Queen Maxima visited the national Care Evaluation and Appropriate Use (ZE&GG) program at Amsterdam UMC to hear more about the 'Less is More' initiative in medical specialist care. The initiative is about discontinuing existing care that is currently still listed in the guideline, but which is likely to add little or no value to the patient in practice and for which evidence of effectiveness is lacking.
Queen Maxima wore her Natan yellow outfit with her Gianvito Rossi pumps and her Natan bag.
