King Haakon and Crown Princess Ingrid Alexandra take their Oath of Allegiance to the Constitution
On Tuesday, both King Haakon and Crown Princess Ingrid Alexandra took their Oath of Allegiance to the Norwegian Constitution.
King Haakon took his Oath of Allegiance in front of the Storting, the Norwegian Parliament. He was joined by Crown Princess Ingrid Alexandra, Queen Sonja, and Prince Sverre Magnus. Queen Mette-Marit was unable to attend as she suffered from complications from her transplant.
During the ceremony, King Haakon said: “The Queen and I would like to confirm that we are available to carry out our duty for the country and the people. In this tradition, I, as King of Norway, have also adopted the motto "Everything for Norway".”
After the ceremony at Parliament, the Royal Family went back to the Royal Palace. There, Crown Princess Ingrid Alexandra signed her own Oath of Allegiance to the Constitution. The Oath was brought to the Storting in the afternoon. With this Oath, Crown Princess Ingrid Alexandra can now act as Regent in King Haakon’s absence.

Crown Princess Ingrid Alexandra wore a bespoke Galedi London gown with her Högl pumps and her Aspinal of London clutch. She also wore an Emily London veiled headband (as confirmed by the brand).
