Fashion Recap: Day 1 of Japanese Enthronement Ceremonies
The enthronement ceremony of Emperor Naruhito took place this morning at the Imperial Palace in Tokyo with many royals in attendance.
Queen Maxima repeated a Natan gown and a Fabienne Delvigne hat.
Queen Letizia debuted a new floral gown by Spanish designer Matilde Cano with a new Carolina Herrera bag and a Nana Golmar headband. The emerald earrings belong to Queen Sofia and she wore her trusty Karen Hallam ring.
Crown Princess Victoria repeated her Escada purple gown with her Rizzo pumps and YSL matching clutch. Her hat is by Philip Treacy.
Crown Princess Mary debuted a new Valentino cape gown with Manolo Blahnik pumps, her Cartier bracelet and the jewels from the Ruby Parure. Her hat and clutch are new.
In the evening, a gala banquet was hosted at the Imperial Palace by Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masako to celebrate the enthronement.
Queen Maxima debuted a new stunning Jan Taminiau red printed gown. She wore the Ruby Parure tiara and jewels from the parure.
Queen Letizia wore a new Carolina Herrera pink embroidered gown with a Carolina Herrera clutch and her Karen Hallam ring. She wore Queen Ena’s Fleur de Lys tiara.
Crown Princess Victoria once again repeated an outfit as she wore her Elie Saab lace gown with her Elie Saab clutch and the Laurel Wreath Tiara.
Crown Princess Mary debuted wore a cape gown with a matching clutch. The gown is a repeat and was made by Birgit Hallstein and the new embellished cape was made by Jesper Hovring. She wore her Cartier bracelet and her Ruby & Spinel Necklace tiara.
