Kate hosts a Garden Picnic
This afternoon, the Duchess of Cambridge is hosting a garden picnic at Hampton Court Palace Garden Festival. After the great success of her RHS Back to Nature Garden at the Chelsea Flower Show last month, the garden has moved to Hampton Court for its second showing.
The Duchess helped to arrange this picnic for children from a few of her patronages. The children participated in a scavenger hunt in addition to a bug spotting activity.
This “Back to Nature” Garden is apart of her involvement with Early Years and strong belief that time spent outdoors during childhood is pivotal to children’s future health and happiness. The garden is inspired by Kate’s own memories of her childhood outdoors. This addition of the garden features the additional elements or a rolling hill, bug hotel, hidden burrow, and a bee-friendly wildflower meadow- all purposefully created to stimulate engagement with nature and free play.
For this day in the garden, the Duchess selected a new dress from Sandro. This lightweight dress features a deep v-neck and midi length making it perfect for summer! She paired this with her trusty Castaner Carina wedges and Accessorize earrings.
