Danish Crown Prince Couple attend Flag Day events

Today, Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary attended Flag Day events in Copenhagen. Flag Day takes place on September 5th each year and honors those who have served for Denmark abroad and it was first celebrated in 2009.

Every year between 2011 and 2016, either the Crown Prince Couple or Prince Joachim and Princess Marie attended the ceremonies in Copenhagen. Since 2017, Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary attend the ceremonies in Copenhagen while Prince Joachim and Princess Marie attend the ceremonies in another city. However, since Prince Joachim and Princess Marie are now living in France, only the Crown Prince Couple attended events this year.

The Crown Prince couple first attended a military ceremony at the Kastellet where they laid a wreath before attending a service at Holmenskirke and watching a parade on Christansborg Palace Square.

Crown Princess Mary wore a new double breasted jacket by Alexander McQueen with her Andiata printed midi skirt. She paired the outfit with her Gianvito Rossi pumps and her Naledi Copenhagen clutch. She wore her Hartmanns earrings, her Dulong Fine Jewelry bracelet and an old Susanne Juul black hat.
