Queen Letizia attends the Rei Jaume I Awards in Valencia

Today, Queen Letizia was in Valencia where she attended the Rei Jaume I Awards. The awards are given to individuals who stand out in their field of work and who have carried out most of their professional activity in Spain.

This year’s winners are Francisco José García Vidal (Research), Diego Puga Pequeno (Economics), Miguel Beato del Rosal (Medical Research), Fernando Maestre Gil (Environmental Protection), Laura Lechuga Gómez (New Technologies), Verónica Pascual Boé (Entrepreneur). Queen Letizia also made a speech after she handed out the awards.


After the awards, Queen Letizia met with representatives of the Local Police of Valencia on the occasion of its 150th anniversary. Queen Letizia received a commemorative plaque from the head of the Valencia Local Police, José Vicente Herrera.

Queen Letizia wore her Carolina Herrera grey matching coat and dress which she paired her Magrit grey leather pumps and Hugo Boss grey suede clutch. She also wore her gold Karen Hallam ring.
