Royal Recap: A busy week for Queen Maxima and Crown Princess Victoria
Welcome to our first Royal Recap post! These posts will recap all the events we weren’t able to cover fully during the week.
Let’s start this first post with Queen Maxima. On December 16th, she attended a webinar about the annual report 'State of SMEs 2020’ as a member of the Dutch Committee for Entrepreneurship.
She wore a Natan dress with her Monies necklace.
On December 17th, Queen Maxima spoke with the Mexican Minister of Finance, Arturo Herrera Gutiérrez, and the president of the Comisión Nacional Bancaria y de Valores (CNBV), Juan Pablo Graf Noriega about the progress of inclusive funding in the country. Queen Maxima is the UN Secretary-General's special advocate for inclusive development funding.
Queen Maxima wore a burgundy velvet blazer.
Crown Princess Victoria also had a busy week! On December 15th, she attended the digital global launch of the UN Human Development Report 2020. In a speech, she said: “Climate change, pollution, loss of biodiversity… From the deepest ocean to the highest mountain, there is not a single corner of the planet that is unaffected by us humans. The good news is that it is not yet too late to address these challenges. And, as this report shows, human development is a key part of the solution.”
She wore a new red dress with earrings from the new H&M Conscious collection.
On December 16th, Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel attended a digital meeting with the children's rights organization Children's Rights in Society. The couple then joined King Carl-Gustaf at a digital meeting with Swedish business representatives to get information on how the covid-19 pandemic continues to affect companies.

Crown Princess Victoria wore a new blouse by Swedish brand Mayla.
On December 17th, Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel attended a digital meeting with the chairman and vice-chairman of the Swedish United Student Unions to learn more about the report “The university will not be the same” and the survey “How does the corona pandemic affect students?”. The couple also joined King Carl-Gustaf and Queen Silvia for a meeting with the Swedish Ambassador to the US, Karin Olofsdotter.
