Regal Review: Queen Maxima's 40th Birthday Concert
Queen Maxima celebrates her 49th birthday today! While she is celebrating her birthday privately this year, we thought it was the perfect time to take a look back on how the then-Princess celebrated her 40th birthday in 2011. While she celebrated her birthday privately on the day, a concert in her honor was organized on May 27th, 2011.
The concert was held at the Concertgebouw and their orchestra played various classical pieces for the guests which included the Dutch royal family, a few foreign royals as well as Maxima’s family and friends. Maxima also made a speech to thank everyone for the concert.
Maxima wore a stunning Jan Taminiau one shoulder gown with her Celestina clutch.
Princess Mabel wore a printed halter neck gown that we assume is Pucci but we haven’t been able to confirm that yet.
Princess Laurentien wore a white sleeveless gown with a dot print, ruffles and embellishment at the neckline and waist.
Crown Princess Mary wore a pink lace and tulle dress from Lithuanian designer Juozas Statkevicius with Christian Louboutin pumps and a satin clutch.
Princess Martha Louise wore a strapless pink column gown with metallic strappy sandals.
Crown Princess Marie-Chantal wore a Valentino Spring 2011 gown (which Maxima would wear as well two years later) with black sandals, a black clutch and JAR earrings.
Princess Tatiana wore a purple halter ruffle gown by Andrew Gn with black strappy sandals and a Giorgio Armani clutch. She also wore Dori Csengeri earrings.
Stay tuned for more Regal Review posts this week as we start a very busy Regal Review end of the month with weddings, birthdays and christening!
