Regal Review: The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's 2017 Poland Visit - Day 1

On 17 July 2017, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge started an official visit to Poland and Germany with their children Prince George and Princess Charlotte.

For their first day in Poland, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and their children were officially welcomed at the airport in Warsaw.

Then, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge met with President Duda and the First Lady at the Presidential Palace.

After an official lunch at the Palace, the royal couple and the Presidential couple did a short walkabout to meet with the crowd waiting for them.

Afterward, both couples visited the Warsaw Rising Museum dedicated to the uprising of 1944 during which the Polish resistance tried to liberate Warsaw from the German occupation.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge then visited the 38th floor of the Spire building to meet young Polish entrepreneurs.

In the evening, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge attended the British Ambassador Queen's Birthday Party at the Orangery in Łazienki Park.

For the day events, The Duchess of Cambridge wore a white Alexander McQueen peplum coat with a Jenny Packham red clutch and Gianvito Rossi suede pumps. She also debuted new ruby earrings, a ruby necklace, and a matching ring.

In the evening, The Duchess of Cambridge wore a white dress by Polish designer Gosia Baczynska with her Gianvito Rossi black ankle strap pumps and her Prada black satin clutch. She also wore her Balenciaga pearl earrings and a matching necklace.
