Regal Review: The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's 2011 Canada Tour - Day 9
On 8 July 2011, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge spent their last day in Calgary to end the Canada leg of their North American tour.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge first attended the 2011 Calgary Stampede Parade, the second largest parade in the world. As guests of honors, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge officially opened the parade.
Afterward, the couple attended a reception hosted by the Alberta Government at the ENMAX Conservatory of the Calgary Zoo where they learned more about Alberta’s significant contribution and commitment to research and development in science and technology.
Their visit to Canada officially ended with an official departure ceremony at Calgary’s airport with the Governor-General, the Prime Minister, the Lieutenant Governor of Alberta, and the Premier of Alberta in attendance. William and Kate would arrive in Los Angeles later that afternoon.
For the Calgary Stampede Parade, Catherine wore a Temperley London blouse with her Goldsign jeans and R.Soles cowboy boots. She paired the outfit with Corrie McLeod earrings, her Tiffany & Co bracelet and her Smithbilt hat.
For the reception and departure ceremony, Catherine wore a red Catherine Walker coatdress with her LK Bennett pumps and Stuart Weitzman clutch. She also wore her Tiffany & Co bracelet and Kiki McDonough earrings.
Stay tuned for another Regal Review post later today as we look back at the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s arrival in Los Angeles!
