Regal Review: The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's 2011 Canada Tour - Day 1
On June 30th, 2011, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge started their first royal tour to Canada and the USA.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were pictured leaving London on the morning of June 30th, on their way to Ottawa.
William and Catherine’s first royal tour officially started as they touched down in Ottawa later that same day.
After being officially welcomed at the airport, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge laid a wreath at the National War Memorial, paying their respects to Canadians who lost their lives in the name of peace and freedom.
Afterward, the couple attended an official welcome ceremony at Rideau Hall with the Governor-General and the Prime Minister.
To conclude their first day on tour, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge attended the Celebration of Youth Barbecue reception.
For their departure, The Duchess of Cambridge wore a navy Roland Mouret dress with a navy Smythe blazer. She paired the outfit with matching Manolo Blahnik pumps and her Mulberry bag.
For their first events in Canada, Catherine wore a navy lace dress by Erdem with her LK Bennett Sledge pumps and Stuart Weitzman clutch. She wore Tiffany & Co earrings and a Tiffany & Co bracelet.
For the evening event, Catherine repeated a Issa bird print dress with her Pied a Terre Imperia black wedges. She paired the outfit with her Tiffany & Co bracelet, Vinnie Day gold earrings and a Vinnie Day gold necklace.
