After being officially welcomed at the airport, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge laid a wreath at the National War Memorial, paying their respects to Canadians who lost their lives in the name of peace and freedom.

Afterward, the couple attended an official welcome ceremony at Rideau Hall with the Governor-General and the Prime Minister.

To conclude their first day on tour, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge attended the Celebration of Youth Barbecue reception.

For their first events in Canada, Catherine wore a navy lace dress by Erdem with her LK Bennett Sledge pumps and Stuart Weitzman clutch. She wore Tiffany & Co earrings and a Tiffany & Co bracelet.

For the evening event, Catherine repeated a Issa bird print dress with her Pied a Terre Imperia black wedges. She paired the outfit with her Tiffany & Co bracelet, Vinnie Day gold earrings and a Vinnie Day gold necklace.
