Spanish royal family starts their holidays in Mallorca and Menorca

As they do each year, the Spanish royal family spends their holidays in August in Palma de Mallorca at the Marivent Palace. Their holidays are usually a mix of public events and private times but this year they are a little different because of COVID-19 restrictions.


On August 10th, King Felipe, Queen Letizia, Princess Leonor, and Infanta Sofia visited the Family House and Museum of Fray Junípero Serra in Petra.

The family then visited the Santuari de la Mare de Déu de Bonay.

They also toured the streets of the town where they met the people waiting for them in front of their homes.

Queen Letizia wore a new red dress by Adolfo Dominguez with her Uterque wedges, her Karen Hallam ring, and her gold bamboo earrings. She also carried a new red bag from Bolsas FQ. All proceeds from the bag are in aid of the Cystic Fibrosis Catalan Association.

Princess Leonor wore a Mango printed dress with her Coolook earrings while Infanta Sofia wore a white Zara playsuit.


On August 11th, King Felipe, Queen Letizia, Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofia visited the Centro Socioeducativo Naüm, Sisters of Charity of San Vicente de Paúl, a non-profit organization that was created in 2000 in order to provide a response to the need for direct care for minors in difficulty and / or social conflict in the neighborhood of Son Roca, in Palma.

Queen Letizia wore a new white shirt dress by Vintage Ibiza with her Macarena wedges and Whittelily bag. She also wore her Karen Hallam ring.

Princess Leonor wore a floral printed dress by Sfera with her Carolina Herrera white sneakers and her Coolook earrings.

Infanta Sofia wore a checked Stradivarius short dress with her Hugo Boss white sneakers.


On August 13th, King Felipe and Queen Letizia spent the day on the island of Menorca.

In Mahón, they visited the Cooperativa Insular Ganadera - Coinga which was founded in 1966 and is made up of 80 farms and associates and is a benchmark for Mahón-Menorca Cheese which has a Denomination of Protected Origin.

In Ciutadella, they visited the collective funeral monument Naveta des Tudons which is the most emblematic monument of the Talayotic culture of Menorca and is dated between the 8th and 13th centuries.

To conclude their day in Menorca, King Felipe and Queen Letizia walked from the Plaza del Ayuntamiento de Ciutadella to the port, where they shared a lunch with the Balearic authorities who have accompanied them on this visit.

Queen Letizia wore a new white Uterque embroidered sleeveless dress with her Macarena wedges. She also wore her Karen Hallam and a blue bag from Bolsas FQ which she debuted last year.
