Danish Royal Family attends 2021 Opening of Parliament
On Tuesday, Queen Margrethe, Crown Prince Frederik, Crown Princess Mary, and Princess Benedikte attended the opening of parliament at Christianborg Castle. Prince Joachim and Princess Marie didn’t attend as they are currently living in France.
The Opening of Parliament takes place each year on the first Tuesday of October in the Parliament at Christianborg Palace. The family has a passive role in this opening so they only listen to the speeches and Queen Margrethe does not make a speech.
Queen Margrethe repeated a red and burgundy outfit with a matching hat by Mathilde Førster.
Crown Princess Mary wore her Scanlan Theodore jacket with wide-leg trousers, her Prada pumps, and her Hugo Boss clutch. She paired the outfit with Marlene Juhl Jørgensen earrings, a repeated brooch, and Prada gloves (with thanks to Katrina). Her headpiece is by Jane Taylor.
Princess Benedikte wore a striped coat with a repeated hat and a Chanel bag.
