Queen Letizia attends delivery of the National Flag to the Aviation Academy of the Army
Today, Queen Letizia presided over the ceremony of the delivery of the National Flag to the Aviation Academy of the Army in Colmenar Viejo.
During the ceremony, Queen Letizia made a speech to thank those who “took part in Operation Balmis, an example of dedication and service to others during the first months of the pandemic. […] To all, my respect, my gratitude, and the most affectionate memory and to those who lost their lives in the performance of their duty, I would like to dedicate my love and appreciation to them today.”
Queen Letizia wore a Felipe Varela outfit that she first wore for Princess Leonor’s christening in 2006. She paired the outfit with her Magrit pumps and Carolina Herrera bag. She also wore her Karen Hallam gold ring.
This week, Queen Sofia made an official visit to New Orleans in the United States to attend events organized on the occasion of the III Symposium “America&Spain250”: “Spain and the American Revolution along the Mississippi River”.
